The company had outgrown their business processes and software systems. All projects supporting documentation for interacting between various business units was done through Excel. Their existing system did not allow for analysis such as historical data. Further, calculations, inventory control and availability were not seen through their reporting system. For managers - it was difficult to get up-to-date reporting. Some of their client's required the company to automate the data interaction.
